I help companies build the story people can act on.

I help technology companies make complex things meaningful through corporate marketing, communications, campaigns, and the moments that matter, inside the business and in the market.

Strategy only matters when people can understand it and use it.

I work at the intersection of company narrative, corporate marketing, and strategy, and company reality: the direction leaders set, the messages employees need, the evidence markets trust, and the experiences that make the strategy real.

I help organizations navigate the moments when the story has to travel through a leadership change, an acquisition, a launch, a workforce shift, a reputation challenge, or a new category.

That work has to hold for every audience that matters to the problem, inside and out.

EmployeesUnderstand the change and their part in it.
LeadersMake decisions people can carry forward.
CustomersSee relevance, value, and proof.
PartnersKnow how to show up and help.
InvestorsRead confidence, direction, and discipline.
MediaHave a credible story to interrogate.
AnalystsUnderstand the category and the evidence.
CommunitiesSee why the work matters beyond the company.

My differentiator: I have worked with companies of all shapes and sizes, with very different challenges on the agency side. I have taken that breadth into in-house leadership roles, where the job is not just to advise on the story, but to lead through the decisions, build the relationships, and make it work across the organization.

Where I fit best

The mandate matters more than the title.

I am at my best when corporate marketing and communications become the connective tissue: clarifying the problem, breaking down roadblocks, and helping the people closest to the work move in the same direction.

01 / COMPLEXITY

The story is bigger than the org chart.

A transformation, new category, or acquisition needs a narrative that can travel across functions and audiences.

02 / ALIGNMENT

The inside and outside do not yet match.

Leaders, employees, customers, partners, and markets need a shared understanding of what is changing and why.

03 / MOMENTUM

The moment needs to mean something.

Launches, events, executive platforms, and experiences need a clear job, not just more activity.

04 / JUDGMENT

The work crosses every function.

Marketing, communications, demand, sales, HR, product, finance, legal, and leadership all have a role in the story.

The moments behind
the headlines.

Different companies. Different stakes. The same work of finding the signal, aligning inside and out, building the coalition, and making the outcome visible through campaigns, programs, and proof.

01 / ALIGNMENT

Making one company understandable at scale.

Led global corporate marketing and communications through acquisition, repositioning, workforce expansion, divestiture, campaigns, customer programs, and employee engagement at OpenText.

Scale: 24,000 employees · 9 business units · one connected story
02 / CATEGORY CREATION

Moving a new company out of stealth.

Built the launch narrative and go-to-market engine for Nile Secure across media, analysts, investors, partners, demand, sales, and customers as the cybersecurity company entered the market.

Outcome: 300+ qualified leads within 30 days
03 / REPOSITIONING

Changing how the market saw an incumbent.

Connected corporate narrative, corporate marketing, analyst relations, executive thought leadership, demand programs, and high-visibility media for Commvault.

Outcome: category ranking moved from #5 to #3 over two years
04 / EMPLOYEE TRUST

Helping people through the inside story.

Designed leadership and employee communications, surveys, sales communications, partner programs, and change programs for moments that test trust.

Scope: leadership alignment · employee engagement · trust during change

Make the invisible visible.

Corporate marketing is where strategy becomes a campaign, a customer experience, a room, a stage, a conversation, or a decision people know how to make.

Give the story a place to land.

We took anonymized customer stories and translated the information inside them into art: data volume, transactions, touch points, employees, customers, and the operating pressures behind the technology.

The result was an eight-piece AI-generated collection for modern CIOs, giving an abstract information-management story a human and visual way in.

Find the red thread. Carry it through.

The Nashville fireside chat connected human creativity with secure information. The conversation brought together Katie Linendoll, a technology personality and host; Sandy Ono, OpenText’s information management CMO; and singer-songwriters Jessi Alexander and Natalie Hemby. Together, they explored AI as a creative partner, trusted information as the foundation, and how to preserve authenticity and intellectual property while trying new things with data.

The career arc

Agency breadth. In-house depth. One big tool box.

Agency work meant seeing the same business problems across many companies every year. In-house leadership meant staying with the problem long enough to lead the change, build the relationships, and connect strategy to campaigns, operating rhythms, and outcomes.

A recurring thread: C-level transitions, executive voice, leadership alignment, and the communication needed to help people move through change.

A career spent across the whole organization.

I’m Erin McCabe, a communications and corporate marketing leader who believes the best work makes a business more coherent to the people inside it and more credible to the people outside it.

I have partnered with nearly every part of an organization, including marketing, brand, product, demand, sales, customer programs, HR, finance, legal, and executive leadership. That range helps me see how a decision will travel before it becomes a message.
